The Nampally court on Saturday extended custody of the accused Rakesh Reddy by eight days who was the prime accused in NRI Chigurupati Jayaram murder case.

After the end of his three-day custody, the Banjara Hills police filed a plea seeking to extend his custody for further investigation. Responding to the plea, the court extended the custody of the accused. Rakesh was produced before the court today after three-day custody. He was sent to Osmania General Hospital for a medical examination before appearing in the court.

The inquiry is being done on behalf of West zone DCP and Banjara Hills ACP.
