Hyderabad: Ration Dealers promised in the presence of Commissioner for Civil Supplies Akun Sabharwal to work honestly and dedication and fully cooperate to government in serving people.

They also said they are not going to participate in the National Ration Dealers Strike call which starts from March 1st.

The Commissioner held meeting with Ration Dealers on Monday at Civil Supplies Bhavan. Presidents and Secretaries from all Telangana Districts participated in the meeting.

Akun Sabharwal said that the government was bearing crores of rupees in form of subsidies by supplying One kg Rice at Rs.1 to people. Ration Dealers play major part in the public distribution system. Ration Dealers should work honestly and with dedication to make justice to their part. He requested them not to indulge in Rice Recycling and also not to encourage.

The Commissioner said all the dealers should compulsory put display boards at Ration Shops with Civil Supplies Department Toll Free Numbers 1967 & 1800 425 00 333 and also Whats App no. 7330774444. They should also compulsory mention number of ration cards, total stock and price on the notice boards. Every transaction should be completed by issuing receipt to the beneficiary.

He said Civil Supplies Corporation will buy gunny bags from ration dealers at price decided by Central government, if any suggestions dealers can also make in this issue.

On this occasion, Ration Dealers pledge that they will work according to the rules and regulations and will not indulge in any mal practices. They will supply commodities to eligible beneficiaries and will not sell or buy at any black market. They will serve people honestly and with dedication and support government in eradication black marketing.
