Medak : K Premalata and N Rekha, both ninth class students of Matindla Rural Development School in Chinna Koduru mandal in the district won gold medals in karate championship held in Jammu and Kashmir on May 2 and 3.A
Both the girls participated in the under-17 championship of International Hapikido, Kenbodo. Premalata won the gold medal in 46-47 kg category while N Rekha won the gold medal in 47 kg category.
Hundreds of students from eight States in the country took part in the championship. A School correspondent N Vishnu Murthy congratulated the girls for winning gold medals.
