India has crossed another space technology threshold with successful launch of latest advanced communication satellite GSAT - 7A from Sriharikota on Wednesday. The communication satellite is aimed at primarily for Indian Air Force for enhanced coverage. This will give a boost to the strategic communication and networking capabilities of the Indian Air Force and other military operations. The GSAT-7A communication satellite is the heaviest satellite launched by the GSLV with indigenous cryogenic engine.
ISRO now has become a standard-bearer for excellence in space science. It’s launching of four satellites including GSAT-7A in just 35 days is a big achievement for the space agency. ISRO is now a world leader in cost-effective and reliable space launches, among its other achievements the best of India's scientific prowess.
