The staff of NRI Hospital conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign’ at Beach Road on Saturday, according to Hospital Chairman Dr Ranga Rao and Vice-Chairperson Dr Vijayalakshmi.
Dr Rangarao said that the NRI Hospital had accorded utmost care to medical services to the public and had been rendering it with the aid of ultra modern and sophisticated equipment for the past 18 years. “This is the only hospital in Northern Andhra Pradesh, with latest cancer curing equipment – VARIAN CLINIC IX. Using the Rapid Arc method NRI Hospital has won the war against cancer,” he said.
The event is being organised to spread the awareness regarding the breast cancer, under the guidance of experts Dr Ravi Shankar, Dr Suman Das and Dr Lalith Varadpande.
NRI Hospital has conducted many free health camps till date and has provided medical care and medicine to the patients. Availability of affordable medical services is the main idea behind the launch of health camps. General public are made aware of prevention and cure for various ailments during such camps. Saturday’s walk on the Beach Road is one of such initiatives to bring out a public awareness about breast cancer and its impact on patients. Any one can come and have their doubts cleared from the expert doctors, stated the Hospital in a press release.
The NRI Hospital management, team of doctors, paramedical and nursing staff as well as the general staff are taking active part in this awareness programme, stated T Chandra Mouleswara Rao, the chief executive officer of the hospital, in the release.
