He said the recent Maoist attack, which took the lives of 28 people, was unfortunate. There would be no compromise in fight against the Maoists and they would ensure decimation of the movement. For this, a comprehensive and integrated action plan was being drafted, and cooperation between Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh governments would help bring fruitful results. He said his ultimate aim was to restore peace and safety of people in Chhattisgarh. The Government of Chhattisgarh had ordered a judicial inquiry headed by a sitting judge of High Court and, simultaneously, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was also probing into the attack, he said to a query. "I can't come to a conclusion on the collusion of some Congress leaders and the Maoists behind this attack. But the detailed inquiry will bring out the truth and all the facts. It is too early to say anything on their role. Anyway, it is sad to note that more than 30 lost their lives in this attack, including the founder of Salwa Judum, Mahendra Karma, and state Congress president Nanda Kumar Patel," he said. On the setting up of National Counter Terrorism Cell (NCTC), he said that already the meeting chaired by Prime Minister and Union Home Minister discussed in detail the Maoist threat in Central India as well as the integrated action plan to suppress them. The Prime Minister had assured to send CRPF, BSF and other para military forces to fight against the Maoist movement, he said. Elaborating on the meeting on the NCTC, he said that from the beginning they had been demanding the Central government exclude the IB wing of states from NCTC purview and special law to be made after tabling this bill on the floor of the Lok Sabha.
