Key chain collector Rakesh Vaid in Limca Book of Records

Passion can drive you to achieve great feats. If you love what you do, even simple hobbies can take to you greater heights.

This has been proved by Rakesh Vaid, who recently entered the Limca Book of Records for largest collection of key rings. Vaid has a collection of 7777 key chains!

Vaid started this hobby way back in 1979 when he worked was a typist at a private firm. A salesman once gave him a ket chain as a token of appreciation for his work. This repeated thereafter. Within a span of four monthsm Vaid had a collection of 34 key chains. This soon became a habit and eventually Rakesh would buy for the sake of collection.

His key chains range from animals, birds, dolls, fruits, vegetables, human figurines, beads, celebrities and much more.

Vaid also recently recognised for having the largest collection of key rings featuring actor Amitabh Bachchan.

The key chain collector has also added some of his own creations to his collection which makes it all the more unique. His original creations include India Gatem Gramophone, Match box, ceiling fan, immersion rod, broom, floor wiper, Indian pot, Gas cylinder, Bar-be-que, water coller, letter box, paper napkin, musical instrument, chair, tyre sofa etc.

Vaid hasn't slowed down after the Limca Record feat. His passion has only grown, his collection has now grown to 8000 and still counting.
