Siddaramaiah Rubbishes Modi Wave. "The people have given the verdict and we have to accept it," Mr Siddaramaiah said.

Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said that the poll results of assembly elections held in three states Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh will not have any impact over the prospects of Congress party in the state when it goes for Lok Sabha elections next year,. and ruled out any Narendra Modi wave in the country.

"There is no Modi wave (in India). In fact there is no connection between Modi and states gone in for Assembly polls. Problems related to states are different from those haunting the nation," he told reporters on the sidelines of an interactive event held by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in Bangalore and said it is time for Congress to set right the wrongs committed.

"The people have given the verdict and we have to accept it," Mr Siddaramaiah said.

Earlier addressing FKCCI members, Mr Siddaramaiah said his government was for the development of industry and committed to providing facilities.

"Siddaramaiah is 100 per cent not against the development of industry in Karnataka. I am with industry and will be with it," he added.

On energy front, Mr Siddaramaiah said Karnataka plans to achieve the target of producing 4,000 MW.
