New Delhi: On Friday morning, the Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh addressed the media. This was his third press meet in last ten years of his regime as the Prime Minister. He went into raptures over the success of UPA government and said the country’s development is possible only through Congress Party led government. He wished youth to lead the nation under the portfolio of Prime Minister.

The salient issues in Manmohan speech:

· Slowly the world markets are coming out from recession.

· The recent election verdicts are the proof of true democracy in India.

· The gap between urban and rural areas has narrowed and the income levels almost became at par.

· The rate of development in agriculture sector has been increased.

· UPA government is the main reason for development in all sectors and economic growth.

· UPA government has established a new history in Indian politics.

· Importance was given to establish firm relationship with the US.

· More resolutions will come till the time UPA is in power.

· He viewed a threat to the nation, if Modi becomes the Prime Minister of India.

· He iterated that for the third time UPA will attains reins, after 2014 general elections.

Manmohan Singh praised Rahul Gandhi in his speech and said he is an efficient leader to hold Prime Minster chair. He said the congress party will announce him as the Prime Ministerial candidate at appropriate time. Further, he said he never felt like to resign at any time during his regime, as he worked without any ill feeling, throughout.
