Temples are the sacred places as per Hindu mythology, where God is believed to live eternally in the sacred shapes. However, over a period of years, the temples and their purpose has been changed significantly. Earlier it was for the popular film stars and now it is for the popular politicians, for whom the temples are built.

Most recently, the Congress party MLA of Andhra Pradesh state has inaugurated a laying stone for the construction of a temple for Sonia Gandhi. The statue for the temple in the form of Telangana Talli has been carved at Bommaluru near Vijayawada.

Now, it’s the turn of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi. In Kaushambhi district of Uttar Pradesh, the ‘Modi mania’ has reached such proportions that a local Shiva temple in Bhagwanpur village has been converted into a Modi temple.

A statue of Modi in a sitting posture has been placed inside an ancient Shiva temple which is now called the NaMo temple. In addition to this, a Modi Chalisa has also been brought out in his praise. This is the first temple of a living leader Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh.

Another interesting thing here to cite is the story of the Pandit at this temple, who himself dresses like Narendra Modi. The Pandit, Brijendra Narain Misra said that worshipping Modi will lead the country to a better future.

What more will happen before the elections is the matter of concern, as of now.
