New Delhi : Slamming power distribution firms for announcing power cuts on the plea of lack of funds, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the truth on their financial condition will come out in the CAG report on discoms.

"They (power companies) are saying that they don't have money, so where has their money gone. CAG is trying to find their money and the truth will come out in the CAG's report.

Kejriwal had accused BSES discoms of trying to "blackmail" the government by threatening power cuts upto 10 hours a day, and warned them of strict action including possible cancellation of licenses.

NTPC has served notice of power suspension from February 11 to BSES Rajdhani, an electricity distributor in the national capital, due to payment issues.

The state-owned utility said BSES Rajdhani had not maintained a letter of credit of adequate value, which is needed to get supply of power from NTPC stations.

AAP said it added Sonia Gandhi and Narendra Modi's names in the list of "corrupt leaders" against whom it has decided to field candidates in the Lok Sabha elections as they were leading a party of tainted politicians and protecting them.

Former BJP President Nitin Gadkari has sent a legal notice to Kejriwal after the latter named him in his list of "India's most corrupt" leaders.

"You are hereby called upon to withdraw your defamatory and malicious remarks by publishing and publicly apologising before all news channels and withdrawing the name of my client (Gadkari) from the contents of news 'List of India's Most Corrupt' within three days of receipt of this legal notice, failing which my client will be constrained to take appropriate legal action," the notice said.

A day after Kejriwal put his name on a list of corrupt politicians, Union minister Kapil Sibal shot back, saying the Delhi Chief Minister should prove his allegations within two days or resign.

The SP lashed out at Kejriwal for calling party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav a "corrupt" leader.
