New Delhi: The highest civilian honour in India, Bharat Ratna was conferred on distinguished researcher, Prof CNR Rao and cricket myth Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday. At Darbar hall in Rashtrapati Bavan in New Delhi, the duo was honored. Along with them, as many as 41 others have been coveted with various Padma honours.
It is evident that on the day of retirement of Saching Tendulkar only, both Sachin and Prof CNR Rao were declared to be honored with Bharat Ratna. Before receiving Bharat Ratna, the duo has been already conferred with the second highest civilian honour in India, Padma Vibhushan. All family members of Sachin Tendulkar attended the ceremony.
