The famously delicious Gujarati dhokla has followed Narendra Modi to Delhi, and will be on the high tea menu that will be served after Modi's swearing-in cermony in the forecourt of the Rashrapati Bhavan on Monday.

The menu has been kept vegetarian for the most part, keeping in mind the preferences of the PM-elect.

The last two times the swearing-in of a PM was organised at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan was in 1990, when Chandra Shekhar was sworn in, and later in 1996 and 1998 when Mr Vajpapee was sworn in.

On both occaisions, there was a balance between the vegeterian and non-vegeterian items on the menu. This time, the Rashtrapati Bhavan has reportedly decided to first go for only vegeterian snacks, but with the guest list including a broad range of foreign dignitaries and heads of states, some non-vegeterian snackks like kebabs and fish tikkas have also been included in the menu.
