Run for Unity today, A large number of BJP activists, people, and youth will participate in the run. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who arrived here on Thursday would flag off the run.
Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary to be observed as National Unity Day every year
Hyderabad: Following the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Telangana BJP has decided to organise “Run for Unity” from Sardar Patel Statue near the State Assembly on Friday to mark the birth anniversary of India’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
A large number of BJP activists, people, and youth will participate in the run. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who arrived here on Thursday would flag off the run. Rajnath Singh is here to participate in the Dikshant Parade of the 66th batch of IPS Probationers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. He will also present medals and Trophies to toppers.
According to TBJP president G Kishen Reddy the run was part of the elaborate celebrations planned by the Union Government which proposes to observe the birth anniversary of Patel as the "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" (National Unity Day) on October 31 every year.
