Chief Election Commissioner H S Brahma said that 84 crore Aadhar cards will be linked to Voter card in the country.
He told reporters at HICC that of the 84 crore EPIC cards, so far 74 crore cards have been linked to Aadhar and rest will be completed by March 15 in all the 676 districts of the country.
Brahma said that the days of votes being sold for money and liquor were gone and that the recently concluded Delhi polls exhibited the new trait of the Voters' psyche. Ruling out EVM tampering, Brahma also said if the 40% illiteracy is eliminated Indian democracy will be a role model for the entire world.
