Owaisis are Offsprings of Nizam, says Shiv Sena in Saamana and will defeat the \"offsprings of the Nizams\" referring to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leaders, the Owaisi brothers.
Gloating over the defeat of Congress heavyweight and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane in the state assembly by-poll from Bandra East constituency, the Shiv Sena said it will also defeat the "offsprings of the Nizams" referring to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leaders, the Owaisi brothers.
An editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamana on Thursday pointed out that during the first Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance government in Maharashtra Rane was made CM. Shiv Sena which has joined force with the MIM for making inroads into Maharasthra with wins in Nanded, Aurangabad and Mumbai's Thane, triggered off its anti Muslin stance earlier by demanding that they (muslims) should be disfranchised in India and also made to follow family planning.
The edit came in response to the Congress' embarrassing defeat in Bandra East on Wednesday, at the hands of a political greenhorn - Shiv Sena candidate Trupti Sawant, widow of the former party legislator and strongman Bala Sawant.
