Guwahati: After eight days, security men on Wednesday evening had recovered three bodies including Tirap district Deputy Commissioner Dr Kamlesh Joshi from the deep gorge of thick forest area in Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh, who were on board of the missing Pawan Hans chopper.

An official of Arunachal Pradesh government said that, army personnel using special mountaineering equipment had reached the deep gorge in Khonsa, where the Pawan Hans helicopter with Dr Kamlesh Joshi and two pilots crashed after taking off from Khonsa on August 4.

Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that, special mountain trained personnel of Gorkha Unit and Special Forces with support from Assam Rifles and civilians had recovered the bodies from thick forest area.
