New Delhi: The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said that the Rapid Action Force (RAF) is the most consistent, reliable force with inherent capacity for rapid mobilization to tackle difficult Law & Order situations throughout the nation. He was addressing the 23rd Formation Day of RAF Blue Troopers, at Secunderabad in Telangana today.
While addressing, Shri Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary recalled the key contribution and role played by the RAF units which are deployed in ten sensitive locations in India in tackling various communal riots, riotous situations securing various mammoth religious congregations, rescue and relief operations. The force is also promoting communal peace and social harmony in their areas of responsibilities, he added. He also appreciated various sensitization projects launched by RAF on Swachh Bharat, ecological preservation and various other innovations on renewable energy and environmental education etc.
The Minister of State for Home Affairs also complemented the RAF for its regular dispatch of male, female contingents in various UNO peace keeping missions. He informed that there will be five more RAF units were sanctioned by Central government to augment the strength of RAF.
The Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shri Prakash Mishra, the Spl. Director General, CRPF, Shri K. Durga Prasad and other senior officers of various Central Police Forces were present on the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the sparkling ceremonial parade in blue disruptive pattern uniform. 78 CRPF officers were bestowed with President’s Police medals for their meritorious and distinguished services.
