"Early morning around 3:30 a.m. we got some information that there is a possibility of IED being plant. From that moment we started patrolling in this area, at around 6:55 a.m., the RR found this IED," Commander P.P Pauly told ANI.

He also said that the bomb disposal squad has taken away the IED bomb which is weighing around 4-5 kilograms.

"A shell was also attached to it and it was planted so as obstruct the movement of the security forces," he added.

IED or Improvised Explosive Device is an explosive device often used in unconventional warfare.
