Training his guns on the Centre as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staked their claim to form a new government in Uttarakhand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that just like Arunachal Pradesh, a brazen horse-trading was rampant in Uttarakhand, adding that 'power hungry' BJP is proving to be the most corrupt party ever.

"Brazen horse trading-first Arunachal now Uttarakhand. BJP proving to be most corrupt, deshdrohi n power hungry party," Kejriwal tweeted.

Earlier, the BJP said that it would stake claim for the formation of a government in the state as Chief Minister Harish Rawat-led government was in minority.

As many as thirty five MLAs - including 26 BJP and nine Congress rebels- reached the Raj Bhawan in a bus here late on Friday evening to meet Uttarakhand Governor K.K. Paul and stake their claim to form a government in the state.

Earlier, a scuffle broke out between Uttarakhand Ministers Harak Singh Rawat and Mantri Prasad Nethani inside the state assembly over the demand for voice vote on the Finance Bill.

In the 70-member Uttarakhand Assembly, the ruling Congress has 36 MLAs, while it has support of three Independents, two Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and one Uttarakhand Kranti Dal MLAs.

If the BJP claim is to be believed: after nine rebel MLAs break away from the Congress, the ruling party will be reduced to 27; and if they join the BJP in its quest, their number will reach 35 - BJP 26 and nine Congress rebels.

Besides 26, BJP has two more MLAs - Ganesh Joshi, who has been arrested by police in connection with the attack on a police horse and Bhim Lal Arya, who was suspended.
