Jammu: A soldier rescued from the Siachen glacier avalanche succumbed to his injuries on Friday as the search for his missing colleague continued despite inclement weather.
An Army patrol party was hit by an avalanche in Turtuk area, west of the Siachen glacier in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. Two soldiers were swept away by the avalanche and one of them was rescued in a critical condition while the other went missing.
