Eman Ahmed to bid goodbye to Mumbai, flies to Abu Dhabi today
Egyptian woman Eman Ahmed, who until recently was termed as the heaviest woman in the world at 500kg will be leaving Mumbai today after having 324 kg at a hospital in the city.
Egyptian woman Eman Ahmed, who until recently was termed as the heaviest woman in the world at 500kg will be leaving Mumbai today after having 324 kg at a hospital in the city.
Eman Ahmed had arrived in Mumbai in February on a chartered cargo plane and was hospitalized in Saifee Hospital. Now, she will be flying to Abu Dhabi today for rehabilitation in a special ambulance driven along a green corridor organized by Mumbai Police.
A medical evacuation team will be transferring her to a specialized bed at the Hospital and take over the transfer file to officials of Bhurjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi ahead of the departure.
A controversy surfaced over Ms Ahmed's treatment when her sister Shaimaa Semil alleged that she had not shed half her weight, as the doctors had claimed which was an attempt to make her leave without complete treatment.
However, the medical team at the Saifee Hospital dismissed the allegations.
