Chennai (Tamil Nadu) : A day after confirming his entry into politics, Superstar Rajinikanth on the first day of new year, today, launched a website and urged people to join him in bringing a "good political change in Tamil Nadu".

"There is a need for a platform to move towards bringing a good political change in Tamil Nadu. It is in this direction that I have introduced a page 'www.rajinimanram.org' where you can register yourself by submitting your name and voter ID information. Come let us bring a good political change in Tamil Nadu," said Rajinikanth in a video that he shared on his Twitter account.

Earlier on Sunday, Rajinikanth said that he would be contesting in the next state assembly elections by forming a new party.

"My political entry is definite. This is a long-pending decision. I will feel guilty if I don't take this decision at least now. In the next assembly elections, I will form a party and will contest all constituencies in Tamil Nadu," he said while addressing the gathering.

He added that politics in the country had gone 'very wrong' and under the guise of democracy, political parties are looting their own people.

"Such a system needs to be changed," the superstar had stated.
