64 % pass in Inter first year exams

Nellore: Nellore district stood third in the State in the intermediate first year results released on Sunday. Of the 27,959 students who appeared for the exams in the district, 17,873 passed. The pass percentage was 64 per cent in the district. The pass percentage of girls and boys was 68 and 61 per cent respectively. Students from the district excelled at State-level. In MPC category K Alisha of Gayatri Education Institutions scored 465 marks out of 470. She hails from Cherlopally village in Kovvur mandal. In BiPC category, Setu Sri studying at Harnadhapuram branch of Narayana College secured 435 out of 440 marks. Pranathi of Master Minds Institute created a record by securing 490 marks of 500 in MEC category. She hails from Gudur. Government College students too fared well in the examinations. Proddatur: Sneha of Abhyas Junior College in the town scored 466 out of 470 marks in MPC category in the intermediate first year results released on Sunday, said college principal Jagadeeswar Reddy in a press release here on Sunday. Bhargavi, Tarun and Navya also from the same category secured 464, 464 and 463 marks respectively. In BPC category Anuradha secured 427 out of 440 marks. Master Junior College student, Shirisha secured 484 out of 500 marks in MEC category. Ravindra from the same category secured 483. College management congratulated the students for their stellar performance.
