Ever since Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy was caught bribing a person to vote for his party's MLC candidate, there's turmoil in the political scene of the both Telugu states.

Even as the tension in the cash-for-vote scam and the uncertainty surrounding the situation reaching its peak, the governments of both the states are busy planning their course of actions. The series of high level meetings and a flurry of activity have given rise to speculation that a major political development is in the offing.

Sources in the TRS say that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has already given his nod to either slap notice to Chandrababu or mention his name in the FIR. The feelers put out by the Telangana Government suggest that they have fool-proof evidence to nail Chandrababu. Thus the AP Government seems to be using all the permutations and combinations to wriggle out of the situation. Chandrababu has been busy charting out plans by holding a series of high level meetings with senior police officials and his close confidants.

After consulting several legal experts and getting inputs from the higher police officials, the AP CM is believed to have formulated a super strategy to counter the Telangana Government. The AP Government is reportedly decided to use the 87 cases filed against KCR, Mathaiah's allegations as 'Bhramhastra' to counter KCR. On the other hand, the AP Government has also appointed DIG Mehmood Iqbal as the head of SIT formed to investigate cases filed against KCR. Further, the CID has intensified its probe and collected data in the case. On Wednesday, the CID officials took Mathaiah into their custody and produced before the magistrate to register his statement.

Chandrababu reportedly asked the CID to be ready with notices for KCR, lest he receives notices from the ACB. It is learnt that today's cabinet meeting was hectic with the discussion mainly involving the murky scandal. Amid apprehensive atmosphere and anxious moments, KCR met Governor ESL Narasimhan in the evening to brief him on the latest developments in the case.
