Inaugurating Chief Minister Health Centres and Arogya Raksha scheme on the occasion of World Health Day, at Velagapudi, here on Friday, he asserted that the government hospitals will be modernised and made better than corporate hospitals
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu vowed to revamp government hospitals in the state. Inaugurating Chief Minister Health Centres and Arogya Raksha scheme on the occasion of World Health Day, at Velagapudi, here on Friday, he asserted that the government hospitals will be modernised and made better than corporate hospitals.

Explaining the changes brought in by the government, the Chief Minister said that the hospitals are using colour-coded bed sheets, one specific colour per day so that new and cleaned sheets are used.Speaking about the health centres, he said that they would work in two shifts and patients need have to wait in queue. The centres would work in Sundays and holidays also. The treatment is provided in air-conditioned rooms.
Services of expert doctors will be available and government will provide medicines free of cost,” he informed. Stating that records of treatment for every patient will be uploaded online, Naidu said that Dhanush Health Care and Apollo hospitals will provide health services under this project.CM also said that the state would be made medical hub in near future. “The works of All India Institute of Medical Sciences would be started soon with budget of Rs 1,618 crore.
The VIMS would be available in Visakhapatnam and Padmavati Medical College for women exclusively would be established soon. Apart from this Indo-UK mega health care project would be setup in Amaravati capital an investment of Rs 1000 crore,” he noted.He also recalled that Abu Dhabi-based BR Ventures would start 1,500 bed hospital in capital.
“Similarly Amrita University also would open 2250 bed multi super specialty hospital by spending Rs 2250 crore. The government also would open dialysis centres in all 13 districts,” he said. Health minister Kamineni Srinivas, principal secretary Poonam Malakondaiah, advisor Dr Sharma and several officials were also present.
