Greetings pour in as Lokesh takes charge
Amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by pundits, MLC Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, took charge as Minister of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and IT departments at the Secretariat at Velagapudi on Friday.

Immediately after taking charge, Lokesh signed three files pertaining to his departments. Officials extended a warm welcome to Lokesh when he reached the fifth block at the Secretariat at around 9.30 am. Accompanied by the officials and close associates, he entered his chamber where Vedic pundits chanted hymns and blessed Lokesh. Several ministers and hundreds of party workers greeted Lokesh on the occasion.
On behalf of the TTD, JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju and OSD Dollar Seshadri extended greetings to Lokesh and presented Srivari Prasadam and Seshavastram.Ministers K Atchannaidu, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar, MLC Buddha Venkanna, MLA V Anitha, former MLC Ilapuram Venkaiah and others congratulated Lokesh and extended their best wishes.
Vijayawada West MLA Jaleel Khan, who was also one of unlucky aspirants for the minister post, also visited the Secretariat along with his followers and presented a Gajamala, made of Pudina leaves, to Lokesh.
