Tractor Owners Association district president Godesela Dasaradham said that the tractor owners in the district have suspended plying tractors for the last 29 days and took to strike unable to bear the increasing harassment of the officials. This affected the day-to-day life of the members causing severe hardships.

Mancherial: The members of Tractor Owners Welfare Association laid siege to the Collectorate here on Thursday demanding solution to their problems and staged a dharna. Earlier, they took out a huge rally from the College Road to the Collectorate.

Tractor Owners Association district president Godesela Dasaradham said that the tractor owners in the district have suspended plying tractors for the last 29 days and took to strike unable to bear the increasing harassment of the officials. This affected the day-to-day life
of the members causing severe hardships.

He appealed to the Collector to take into consideration the hardships of the tractor owners and allot sand reaches as per rules. If the sand reaches are handed over to the societies, the tractor owners will pay the amount to the societies towards sand transportation.
Tractor Owners union leaders Hanumanth, N.Bhumanna, Srinivas, Anjaneyulu were present.

Dasaratham demanded creation of sand reaches with the government’ s permission, like it was done by the then Sub-Collector Vivek Yadav in 2010 as per GO C 5/4323/ rules 23(1). The Samiti members would pay levy for sand transportation if the sand reaches were handed over to societies, he added.
