Kareena, Sushma on same stage

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is the cynosure of all eyes at the Indian of the Year Award function of a media house, came face-to-face with leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj. In fact, Sushma Swaraj was the political star, who was the scene-stealer, with her keynote speech on women, which traced the barriers broken and the barriers that still remain to be broken.

Kareena Kapoor was awarded the Entertainer of the Decade Award and Sridevi, who staged a comeback to the Silver-Screen after 15 years in English-Vinglish, won the Entertainer of the Year Award. Sridevi took a long break after her marriage to producer Boney Kapoor but recently came alive on the Silver-Screen. Actress Kareena Kapoor made a flattering statement that Sridevi was the reason why she diverted towards acting.

The threesome � Kareena Kapoor, Sridevi and Sushma Swaraj � became the star attraction of the evening. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, representing Brand India, were all present, along with the Daughter of India's parents and her friend, sharing platform with the Prime Minister.

Farhan Akhtar reclaimed his Rock Star position by singing songs from his earlier film, Rock On. Farhan Akhtar, son of Javed Akhtar, also recited a poem he had written for the Braveheart.
