Tirumala: In view of the annual Teppotsavams of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala from March 23 to 27, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju inspected the ongoing arrangements of the float festival here in Swami Pushkarini on Tuesday evening. Later, talking to media persons, he said TTD has purchased 360 high density poly ethylene drums from Mumbai-based Litmus Marine Company at a subsidised price of Rs 31 lakhs for the first time for the smooth and ease conduct of Teppotsavams. "These drums have capacity to carry over 24 tonnes of weight with much ease and comfort. A These will be arranged to the lower side of the float during the festival," he added. Meanwhile, on first day of the Lord Malayappa will don Lord Sri Rama Avatara and bless the devotees followed by Lord Sri Krishna Avatara on the second day and on the last three days as Lord Malayappa Swamy taking three, five and seven rounds on float respectively on March 25, 26 and 27. TTD has cancelled arjitha sevas like Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara seva on these days following the float festival.
