The team has set the aim of making it for the playoffs with wins in all the games at the Thyagaraj Stadium, scheduled from July 24-27, 2016.

Foreseeing the team’s positive turnaround in the Delhi leg, Head Coach - Sagar Bandekar, Dabang Delhi KC said, “The team is in a positive state of mind and is eagerly looking forward to the home leg to wrest the initiative in the coming four days. Seeing the team’s hard work and determination, I am confident that all our players will put up a great show in front of our home support. It also gives me great satisfaction to have nurtured some of the brightest young talent at DDKC this season to grow the sport of Kabaddi. Starting Sunday, we will continue to enthrall our audiences with our Dabang style of play during the home leg.”

Speaking about the team’s performance this season, Saumya Khaitan, CEO, Dabang Delhi KC said, “The playoffs spots are still open and we hold confidence and trust in our squad to win all home leg games to qualify for the same. We have been on the other side of some very close games and the team has shown great character so far. We have a unique composition, with the experienced and the multifaceted young talent and with the overwhelming support of our fans in Delhi we are aiming to reach the play offs. We are always delighted to see that our partners have shown great confidence in us as we continue to secure more and more brand alliances.”

Dabang Delhi KC, with a new composition and coach for Season IV of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi, has received overwhelming support from its fans across the country. The fans have made their following clear with the buzz on social media already eclipsing previous seasons numbers. DDKC alone saw a total of around 100,000 conversations already across online platforms like Twitter and Facebook, with more and more fans vowing allegiance to #MainBhiDabang. The team witnessed a growth of 120.52% in terms of followers on social media platforms.

The fan support also reached a new high with the original Dabang, Sonu Sood’s association with the franchise as the Brand Ambassador. Sonu Sood took the lead in support for the team and has been a part of the team squad during trainings and a part of fans during matches in the league. He will be present to support the team devotedly during the home leg.

Retaining experienced and star players such as Kashiling Adake and Selvamani K from the previous season and the inclusion of international all-rounder Meraj Sheykh from Iran has really helped Dabang Delhi this season. The young and imposing Sachin Shingade has been the wall in Delhi’s defence this season and is amongst the league’s top defenders in Season IV.

Continuing their commitment to environment and sustainability, DDKC has made India’s first and only model green venue, the Thyagaraj Stadium their home arena. The team and management has also taken a pledge to create awareness towards society, community and people through a gamut of NGO partnerships. DDKC will be donating a part of the ticket sales as contribution to the efforts of CRY, Uthaan, Water Aid India, Wildlife Conservation Trust and CADD (Community Against Drunk Driving).
