Three free tools can offer Twitter users some relief from managing their unruly list of accounts they are following, from deleting spam accounts to categorizing inactive accounts.
'Manage Flitter' free-package lets users view and manage accounts they follow and also see which accounts don't follow them back or which ones don't tweet in English or find those with high and low influence, apart from viewing their frequency of posts.
According to Mashable, the tool also lets users find who follows them having a dubious, fake or spam account and unfollow them.
UnTweeps lets users see which accounts they follow haven't tweeted in a while allowing them to free up their list.
After authorizing the app, the user can select a time period to concentrate on, while the default setting is to list accounts that have not updates in 30 days.
Tweepi can be used for the 'cleanup' purpose as it allows users to see all the accounts they are following in a grid based format and one can add or remove grid columns to see more information about the accounts.
The report said that with Tweepi, one can also see who has a verified account next to their column, apart from their tweeting frequency, depending on which, one can unfollow them with quick click.
