Speaking here on Tuesday along with P. Sudhakar, Managing Director -Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Department of Atomic Energy- Government of India, he informed that the ISRO planning to launch 3-PSLV and 1-GSLV satellites by the end of the year.

Earlier in the day, ECIL handed over indigenously developed secure programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA) to SDSC- Sriharikota. Mr. Prasad said that the system will help the Indian Space programs in avoiding the dependence on other nations.

ECIL worked closely with SDSC for about two years for meeting stringent requirements of the system. The collaborative efforts of ECIL and SDSC resulted in the realization of the desired system after a series of intense customization exercises in terms of tuning critical performance parameters of the system and successfully meeting all the requirements.

The same technology will be tested in the month of June and for the critical stage in September and October months. He expressed hope that the ECIL is poised to deliver many such mission critical systems in the coming years.
