Zaheerabad: Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao said here on Saturday that the election promise of 12 per cent reservation for Muslims would be implemented at any cost. He participated in the Iftar organised by TRS leaders at a function hall here.
Earlier, he inaugurated welfare hostel for Scheduled Tribes in the town. Addressing the meeting, he said that Banjara Bhavan for the Banjaras in the Tandas would be constructed in the town. He said that the Tandas would be identified as village panchayats for developing them. He said that separate hostel for girls belonging to scheduled tribes would be sanctioned here.
Harish Rao said that Rs 50,000 would be allotted for each masjid for decoration during festivals. Former minister Md Fariduddin also spoke. Zaheerabad Member of Parliament B B Patil, ZP chairperson Rajarani and several TRS leaders were present.
