Hyderabad: Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, on Monday reacted over the nativity issue brought out by the Telangana Government on the basis of 1956 clause. He said that the citizens of India have a right to migrate to any place in India as they desire and can also avail the facilities and schemes offered by that particular state equal as that of the local residents. He said it was neither good for the state nor for the country that a particular state imposes special rules and regulations on the issue of deciding the nativity of the people.

It is evident that the Telangana state government has decided to go on with the fee reimbursement only to those students whose families have been residing in the state as on November 1, 1956. This issue has become the hot topic among the political circles. While KCR, the Chief Minister of Telangana, states that the nativity factor was intended to reimburse the fee only to the true and deserving Telanganites, many other political parties including the major Congress Party and BJP oppose the decision taken by the TRS government mentioning that the process of deciding the nativity factor will become a cumbersome issue, if 1956 is considered as the basis of deciding the nativity.
