Jayashankar statue unveiled at Ekasila Park, Rich tributes were paid to Telangana protagonist late Dr K Jayashankar here on Wednesday marking his 80th birth anniversary celebrations.
Warangal: Rich tributes were paid to Telangana protagonist late Dr K Jayashankar here on Wednesday marking his 80th birth anniversary celebrations. Telangana activists and different institutions held celebrations across the district on a grand scale wherein some installed his statues while some conducted seminars. An official ceremony was held at Ekasila Park in Hanamkonda where 10-foot tall Jayashankar statue was unveiled by the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Thatikonda Rajaiah and Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajaiah called upon the people to draw inspiration from Jayashankar and come forward to join the process of reconstruction of progressive Telangana state.
