He said that he had asked the defence authorities to submit survey maps as they are claiming the ownership of the land. Further, he also said that the survey maps were in the court and requires two days to bring them. After submitting the survey reports, a joint survey will be conducted at the site and a final report will be submitted to the government.

The collector said that the government has already sent an official communique to the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) seeking permission for organizing Independence Day celebrations at Golconda Fort. It is evident that the authorities have decided to hold the flag hoisting ceremony at Rani Mahal on the premises of the Fort.
