Medak: The Congress party will contest the Medak Lok Sabha by-elections, former PCC president D Srinivas, MLC, said in Hyderabad on Saturday. The by-election has become necessary following the resignation of K Chandrasekhar Rao after he opted to retain the Gajwel Assembly seat. The election notification for the Medak by-election is likely to be issued on August 20. Srinivas told the media that there was no scope for personal opinion with regard to the by-election. The decision had to be made by the party high command, he stated.
