Telangana CM KCRHyderabad: The Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has left for a four-day tour of Singapore and Malaysia on Tuesday night. He will be returning on August 24.

Elaborating on his itinerary, KCR said he would be attending Impact-2014 seminar being organised by IIM Alumni in Singapore in which Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong would also attend. Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, former president S R Nathan and corporate bigwigs would also take part.

He said he was the only Chief Minister to have received an invitation from organisers.

The organisers heard about aggressive plans his government had been making to promote industrial sector. They wanted to interact with him to apprise themselves of investment opportunities in State.

KCR will also meet who's who from business world in Singapore during the visit. Meanwhile, he has decided to travel by road from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to get a glimpse of the rapid infrastructure development on the route.

He said he would be meeting Ministers of the Malaysia government to discuss to get their suggestions to make Hyderabad a slum-free city.

Finance Minister Etela Rajender, few senior bureaucrats in industry department and Chief Minister’s Officer, besides few industrialists, would accompany KCR.
