Union Minister Prakash Javadekar asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to show \'dadagiri\' to set the things right instead of using the language of \"burying\" the media.

Medak: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to show 'dadagiri' to set the things right instead of using the language of "burying" the media.

"I want to make an appeal to the Chief Minister and the ruling party. If 'dadagiri' (bossing around) is to be shown, show it towards what is going wrong. Do development, we will help. Centre and state together, we will make Telangana better.
"There is no need for speaking the language of burying the media. Media should also be responsible. The language of burying media should be buried. We should understand this," he said.
Javadekar was speaking at a rally organised in Medak district in support of BJP candidate T Jayaprakash Reddy for the Medak Lok Sabha bye-election scheduled for September 13.
The bypoll is necessitated following the resignation of K Chandrasekhar Rao after he became the Chief Minister.
Seeking to counter the reported comments of Rao yesterday that none with brains would vote for the BJP nominee, Javadekar said not only those with brains, but those with heart too would vote for BJP.
"Saying that those with brains would not vote, it is an insult to the poor people of the country. 25 crore poor people and others have installed this (Modi) government. Chief Minister has insulted crores of people and the poor. This should also be kept in mind," he said.
The Narendra Modi government is a pro-poor government and its latest 'Jan-Dhan Yojana' is a major initiative helping the poor, he said.
"More than three crore have opened accounts. You can also go and open bank accounts if you don't have one and take advantage of it," he said the gathering.
The Modi government has done such good work in 100 days that TDP-BJP would come to power in Telangana if elections were held today, the BJP leader said.
Speaking on the occasion, Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said his ministry would help the Medak region by implementing pending railway works.
