Bathukamma contest

Bathukamma festival was celebrated on Wednesday at Shankar Foundation’s Shraddha Center for Special Education, Begumpet . All the students prepared Bathukammas in different sizes using colourful flowers. While the teachers prayed to Goddess Laxmi for prosperity, the students sang songs and followed it up with a Dandiya performance.

All the students prepared Bathukammas in different sizes using colourful flowers. While the teachers prayed to Goddess Laxmi for prosperity, the students sang songs and followed it up with a Dandiya performance. Prizes were given to best Bathukamma arrangements and best Dandiya dance to encourage students and the staff. Meanwhile, Telanganites of Chennai also celebrated the festival on a grand note.
