Telangana to buy 1000MW power from Chattisgarh
Telangana Chief Minister is on Visit to Chhattisgarh. On the context of severe power shortage in Telangana and the opposition Congress, TDP and BJP alleging the TRS government responsible for the farmers’ suicides, CM visit to Chhattisgarh got prominence.
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister is on Visit to Chhattisgarh. On the context of severe power shortage in Telangana and the opposition Congress, TDP and BJP alleging the TRS government responsible for the farmers’ suicides, CM visit to Chhattisgarh got prominence.
"I have actually come for purchasing electricity from Chhattisgarh, for supplying to our farmers. Electricity is being supplied 24 hours (a day) in Chhattisgarh. We don't have such a situation. We are trying to produce 16,000 MW of electricity in three years. Then, we will also give electricity for 24 hours," he said.
"We requested your Chief Minister Raman Singh to help us as we are facing a difficult situation. He promised to support. We are purchasing 1,000 MW power from you," said a press release from his office.
