She expressed serious concern over the injustice being meted out to semi-orphaned children in the society. In order to address the issue Bala Vikasa Social Service Society Orgnisation started a movement four years ago to support the semi-orphaned, physically challenged and poor children she added.

At a programme organised by Bala Vikasa at Kazipet on Sunday, she distributed financial assistance worth Rs 40 lakh to about 1000 semi-orphaned children studying in colleges and schools and scored more than 60 percent marks.

Addressing a massive gathering on the occasion, Bala Theresa, the founder of Bala Vikasa, informed annually the organisation was spending Rs 2 crore to support about 3000 under privileged children.
