Cong desperate to emerge as main oppn in TS
The Congress party felt that it was time to go aggressive lest they may lose the ground of being the main opposition party to T TDP.
Hyderabad: In its bid to establish that it is the real opposition in Telangana, the Congress party has decided to take up a campaign against the TRS government for its alleged failure to prevent farmers’ suicides and the suicides of some people as they had been left out from the list of eligible pensioners.The Telangana Congress leaders, led by K Jana Reddy, who made a vociferous but futile demand on the floor of the State Assembly for a discussion, decided to take the issue to the people. A delegation led by Jana Reddy left for Mahabubnagar on Wednesday to call on the family members of Devanna, who died of heart attack after his name was not found in the list of eligible pensioners.
