Warangal: Telangana Archaka Samakhya State working president G Upendra Sharma said here on Tuesday that members of the organisation would soon meet Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad. The CM would be apprised of the problems facing temples in the State. The samakhya would request KCR to revive temples. Sarma addressed the executive committee of the samakhya.

He appealed to leaders of Telugu Desam and BJP in Telangana to pressure AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu for releasing Rs 1,200 crore, the share of Telangana, from temples under the Endowments department in AP. Sharma said legislators of the two parties should take the initiative in getting the funds released for the welfare of temples in Telangana. This resolution was passed at the meeting.

M Srinivas was elected at the meeting the district president of Dhoopa-Deepa-Nyvedya Archaka Samak hya. Arya Vysya Sangham leader Gattu Mahesh Babu, Endowments department officials Anil Kumar, B Singh, executive officers of different temples Ch Jayashanker, Sadanandam and Sanjeevaiah, Samakhya leaders D Ramanna, I Mallikarjuna Sastry, DC Ramesh Babu, P Srinivasacharyulu, Na simhacharyulu, were present.
