The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Department is organising week-long celebrations every year from December 3 to 9 to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day. It plans to create awareness among people on corruption. On the occasion, a pledge was administered to students and employees to make India free from corruption. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that responsibility lies on government employees to work with transparency. He stressed the need to enlighten people that they have the right to question any person who indulges in corruption. He pointed out that insecurity is growing in all sectors due to corruption. He gave a call to people who are working in government, private, voluntary and the media organisations to fight against corruption. The ACB would conduct various competitions for students on topics related to corruption as part of week-long celebrations. The ACB officials are also planning to paste posters with anti-corruption slogans across the district. The DSP Dakshina Murthy, DEO Ravinder Reddy, MEO Srinivas, ACB CI Sambaiah, officials and students were present.
