Demands pension for all eligible persons

Khammam: The Khammam Congress MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar said that people are still facing difficulties even after formation of separate state for Telangana.

The Congress leader sat on one-day fast in front of the Collectorate here on Wednesday demanding the TRS government to sanction pensions for all eligible persons.

Ajay Kumar has alleged that the TRS government had come to power by deceiving people stating to resolve their problems. He pointed out that pension was sanctioned to all eligible persons during Congress rule in the united state.

“22,000 beneficiaries used to get pensions in Khammam Assembly constituency when Congress was in power,” he added. He came down heavily on TRS government for cutting down number of pensions to 10,000 from 22,000.

The MLA expressed anguish that aged, widows and physically challenged persons are forced to stage protests due to state government’s negligence.

He demanded the Telangana government to respond to the issue and sanction pensions for all eligible persons.
