Hyderabad: As a measure of citizen-friendly enforcement, the Hyderabad Traffic Police introduced ‘cashless’ enforcement for commuters of Telangana State on a trial basis. “Earlier cases of traffic violations were booked through contact enforcement/non-contact enforcement method and issuing spot/e-challans to the violators, but henceforth, traffic police would not collect any fine amounts on the spot and no one should give any cash to the traffic police personnel.

The citizens can pay their fine amounts through net banking through the www.htp.gov.in and check status or www.echallan.org by entering vehicle registration number,” Additional CP (Traffic) Jitender said. Hyderabad Traffic Police have also developed an Android mobile application for easy payment of challans. “Users can download the Android App ‘E-Challan Telangana’ through ‘Play Store’,” he said adding that earlier systems of paying fine through e-seva/mee seva would also continue.
