Top priority for welfare of Dalits
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is dedicated for the development of Dalits than the previous State governments, asserted Telangana State SC Corporation chairman Pidamarthi Ravi on Monday. Speaking to press persons here, he said the TRS government had allocated Rs 1,200 crore for the corporation.

Speaking to press persons here, he said the TRS government had allocated Rs 1,200 crore for the corporation. Similarly, over 2,000 acres of land was procured for distributing to landless Dalits, he added. “I will make sincere efforts in fulfilling the responsibility that was put on my shoulders by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao,” he said.

Ravi was accorded a grand felicitation by Kakatiya University Dalit Students JAC at the university senate hall. Speaking on the occasion he said like Osmania University, the students of Kakatiya University too had played a significant role in agitation for separate Telangana. Mahabubabad MP A Seetaram Naik, Prof K Sitarama Rao, KU SDLCE Director Ch Dinesh Kumar, TRS district in-charge P Sudarshan Reddy, Warangal Bar Association president G Ravi Kumar and others were present.
