Water Board sanctions 40 lakh for Kukatpally
Water Board MD Jagadeeshwar and Kukatpally MLA Krishna Rao held a review meeting on Tuesday to strengthen the water supply system in Kukatpally. The MD sanctioned works to the tune of Rs 40 lakh and promised another Rs 12 crore for other improvements.
Works to be taken up in light of Krishna Phase-III and Godavari Phase-I
Water Board MD Jagadeeshwar and Kukatpally MLA Krishna Rao held a review meeting on Tuesday to strengthen the water supply system in Kukatpally. The MD sanctioned works to the tune of Rs 40 lakh and promised another Rs 12 crore for other improvements.
Jagadeeshwar opined, “In the wake of water supply through Krishna Phase-III and Godavari Phase-I, engineers of the board should come up with proposals to ensure that the carrying capacity of the feeder mains and distribution mains be laid to cover the localities of all the areas and enable water supply to every household as per the promise of the chief minister.” “When thousands of rupees are being spent on bringing Krishna Phase-III and Godavari Phase-I, why not spend a few more crores to develop infrastructure to ensure water supply to every nook and corner of the jurisdiction of HMWS&SB,” he observed.
The Managing Director instructed director (technical), director (operations) of the board to hold brainstorming sessions to benefit future generations. Jagadeeshwar also instructed the general manager (engg.) to strive vigorously to regularise illegal water connections and increase the board’s revenues. MLA Krishna Rao appreciated the MD for sanctioning the works.
